Realtor Blurb:
A historic treasure and masterpiece! Spectacular setting, The Stackhouse home overlooks the French Broad River. Incredible craftsmanship and detail. 4 BR 2 BA. 2 living rooms, spacious dining room, 2 kitchens, breakfast room. Covered front porch facing the river. 3rd floor could be finished for more living space. Additional 2000+ sq. ft. brick building on property. Amazing private residence or possible B & B. One of a kind property!

My Notes: I went looking, and found a heap of info about this family & house. This was built by Amos Stackhouse Jr.; son of Amos Stackhouse. Amos Sr. founded and ran several stores and a logging company. Articles/mentions about the house, family and community hereherehere; and here. The last two are articles about the house itself. I've included the pictures from these pages here below; so you can see that the house has been in various stages of restoration. Looks well kept; but it seems that some or most of the windows have been replaced. However, the doors look untouched. I think the price is a little high, but that's just my opinion.
