Realtor Blurb:
This gracious Edenton home is beautifully situated on a large, double corner lot in the heart of Edenton's famed historic district. Originally built in 1883 and once home of Edenton’s mayor, the property stayed in the same family until 1963. The spacious interior retains stylish Victorian elements, including robust plaster ceiling medallions, faux-marble slate mantels, and wide molded surrounds. A spacious foyer welcomes you into this fine home, with family room, formal living and dining rooms, a library, and a sunny eat in kitchen on the first floor. 3 bedrooms are upstairs, including a master suite complete with large bedroom, a study with built in bookshelves and desk , an adjoining bath with shower and jetted tub, and a sleeping porch that overlooking the side yard. A laundry room and additional rear porch are also on the 2nd floor. A Victorian wrought iron fence encloses the front of the house, while the back garden is enclosed with a white picket fence. An enormous ginko tree is the centerpiece of the well established landscaping, and there are delightful blooms to be enjoyed most of the year. The home retains original charm and character, but has been seamlessly updated with modern conveniences including heated tile floors, stainless appliances, granite countertops, copper roof, lawn irrigation system, and a double detached garage. This exquisite downtown home is a rare offering!

My Notes: I can't quite grasp what style this is, or originally was. It has Prairie/Italinate touches near the roofline; but the front porch is all Geek Revival columns. Even some Colonial leanings; especially on the inside details. Any help in the comments is appreciated. I can tell the back ell was added; but it's not too glaring a difference from the rest of the house.
